My training, research and clinical work have been dedicated to working with and on behalf of older adults. Through my personal and professional experiences, I have become very familiar with the unique challenges that go along with aging - and the ways getting older can test a person’s mind, body, and spirit. I have also seen firsthand how therapy can help people find new ways of coping or reconnecting with strategies that have been helpful in the past. When effective, therapy can help people live more satisfying lives - even in the face of adversity.

I created Gray Oak Counseling to ensure that people who are struggling can find a therapist with a successful history of helping older adults. I am the person you will meet with when you make an appointment. Therapy is a collaborative process. My knowledge and perspective can be helpful, but what I enjoy the most about my job is learning from my clients. People with more life experience bring with them wisdom, perspective and resilience which makes that process especially meaningful.
